Sharo oversees and leads the design, creation, and implementation of teacher and librarian professional development on technology in content with pedagogical teaching practices with her innovative team of instructional specialists, library media/digital learning resources staff, and academic competitions staff. She believes in strategic and inclusive collaboration with fellow educators to develop a growth mindset that will impact successful student-centered learning. As a veteran educator, she also believes that the more years of experience you have, the greater the responsibility is in stepping up to the challenge of staying ahead, being aware of current educational trends, and understanding the essential role of being culturally responsive to students and teachers’ various needs.
