With a rise in diversity across the United States comes a rise in diverse populations of students in our classrooms. By integrating engaging, relevant content that shows respect for all students into their courses, educators can meet the needs of their diverse communities. Digital Promise, in partnership with ACTE, has created free professional development modules and teaching resources to assist educators in getting to know their students and then teaching through the lens of global competence to be more inclusive in the classroom. This session will share these tools as well as strategies to help you integrate global content into your curriculum and prepare students for our interconnected world.
In this session, participants will learn about how to better engage students from diverse backgrounds in their learning by first getting to know them and about the wealth of free resources that exist to support educators in this work.
